He has an incredible 6 crosses to the legendary Lewisfield Sun God and 68 crosses to the Crabbet foundation sire Skowronek. Like Lewisfield Sun God, Pharao is the product of a full-brother, full-sister mating, his sire being the one and only Burgundy Sun, his dam our own The Sun Heiress — a full sister to both Burgundy Sun and Phara's current stallion The Sun Prince. Bred by Phara Farm, Pharao most closely resembles Lewisfield Sun God. Pharao has a very extreme head with an incredible bulging jibbah, wide forehead and huge jowel, teeny-tiny muzzle and wide-set eyes. Pharao is tight coupled with a large hindquarter and great substance of bone. Golden chestnut in color with a very flaxen mane and tail, Pharao is intensely line-bred to pass on his classic characteristics to his foals. Pharao's personality is true to his breeding - he is pure in the strain Seglawi al Abd, known for horses that have an intense love and connection with their human, great intelligence, superior athleticism and elegance. This describes Pharao to a tee - in personality he is acutely aware of where ever I am and whatever I am doing - and tries diligently with playful antics to get my attention if it is not on him. He has an incredible work ethic and lives to please. He is very agile and both quick and light on his feet. In his paddock he freely does roll-backs and canter-departs from a standstill - with incredible ease and grace. His exuberance in motion translates to huge, ground-covering strides and extreme extension. He is extremely intelligent and bold - certainly not a spooky horse.
