MACARENA BRAHIMA AHR*616883
After purchasing the golden cross stallion Amir Shaklan (Om El Shahmaan x Asdiqa Badeia by *Sanadik El Shaklan), I knew I wanted a very special golden cross mare for him. My search began (and ended) at Los Acres - where I knew I would find the perfect bride for my silver prince.
MACARENA BRAHIMA . . . an extremely special mare selected especially for our stallion AMIR SHAKLAN. She has a very pretty head set on a "hingy" neck that comes straight out of her shoulder. She has a short back with a beautiful long hip and topline, straight clean legs and has an extreme tail carriage. Her captivating eyes are huge and black, complimented by her large, flaring nostrils.
Macci is a big mare, but is extremely "soft spoken" and dainty with her demeanor. Even when "showing off," this very affectionate and loving mare will stop to come up to me and "check in" - touching me lightly with her muzzle. She has such a softness in her eye and gentleness in her expression. She is a true "lover." Macci encompasses the beauty, substance, elegance and style of the Spanish/Egyptian cross - she is a true GOLDEN CROSS Arabian.
MACARENA BRAHIMA's sire is the straight Spanish stallion *SIDI-BRAHIM, who was bred by renowned international judge and breeder, Don Diego Mendez Moreno. *SIDI-BRAHIM was the Gold Medal Winner of Spain as a 3 year old, and was the favorite to become the National Champion of Spain later that year, but prior to the National show was purchased and imported to the United States by the Polk family. After his importation *SIDI-BRAHIM was a Champion in Halter and Performance. *SIDI-BRAHIM was known for his huge black eyes, short head, elegant neck, strong smooth body, and especially for his kind and endearing disposition. *SIDI-BRAHIM was happiest when being ridden and shown by the Polk family children in leadline classes - he always took special care of them. His best friend Terry Polk showed him in Halter, Western Pleasure and Sidesaddle, however their favorite time together was spent riding hundreds of hours bareback through the family's farmland. As phenomenal as he was as an individual, *SIDI-BRAHIM's greatest influence was as a sire. *SIDI-BRAHIM is a sire of International and National Champions in both halter and performance. His blood lives on in countries around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, Ecuador, France, Holland, Mexico, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Spain, Sweden, and in the United States.
*SIDI BRAHIM was sired by one of Spain's greatest and most infuential sires, JACIO. The JACIO horses are famous for their beautiful heads and wonderful temperaments. JACIO was also the sire of *GG SAMIR, who sired 21 National winners including National Champions in Halter, Western Pleasure, and Informal Combination. JACIO was sired by the stallion TABAL, sire of the illustrious mare *ESTOPA who founded a dynasty of champions for Om El Arab International. *SIDI- BRAHIM's dam was DALIA IV, sired by MAQUILLO. MAQUILLO is the sire of 6 producers of North American National winners.
MACARENA BRAHIMA's dam is the extremely beautiful liver chestnut mare, MA HALIMA ROUGE. MA HALIMA ROUGE is a daughter of the Straight Egyptian stallion EL MAJIID. EL MAJIID was sired by the Arabian Legend *ANSATA IBN HALIMA, who was a U.S. National Top Ten stallion (three times), Park Champion, and the foundation sire for Ansata Arabian Stud. *ANSATA IBN HALIMA, a Legion of Merit winner, sired 14 National winners. EL MAJIID's dam ANSATA JELLABIA was sired by National Champion ANSATA IBN SUDAN, son of *ANSATA IBN HALIMA. ANSATA JELLABIA was out of the mare MAARQADA, daughter of the Multi-Champion stallion and famed broodmare sire FABAH (sire of National winners) and out of the FAY-EL-DINE daughter, EL MAAR. MA HALIMA ROUGE is out of the mare DZ RASZKA++, Legion of Merit winner. DZ RASZKA++ was sired by the imported Polish stallion *DRUZBA++, who was a U.S. and Canadian Top Ten National Champion Stallion and sire of National Champions. *DRUZBA++ was sired by Reserve National Champion Stallion *NABORR (bred by the Tersk Stud, imported from Russia to Poland, then from Poland to the United States), who sired over 150 Champions including 46 National Winners. *DRUZBA++ was out of the mare DRUCHNA, dam of 5 Champions.
